Overview
John Doe Group was a progressive hospitality collective operating three of Toronto’s most recognized nightlife destinations: EFS Social Club, The Addisons Residence, and Convenience Resto Bar. Their venues were known for merging luxury and underground culture, bringing a cinematic sense of anonymity and exclusivity to the city’s nightlife scene.
Challenge
Behind the name “John Doe” lies a deliberate statement of anonymity as identity. The client needed a website that mirrored that concept: mysterious, bold, and immersive, while clearly showcasing each venue.
Solution
A multi-venue digital hub that unified all three spaces under one visual language. The design leaned on high-contrast visuals, monochrome overlays, and grid-based composition to evoke the brand’s clandestine personality.
